The largest study of its kind has unexpectedly concluded that smoking marijuana, even regularly and heavily, does not lead to lung cancer.

While it may not lead to lung cancer, it does still affect your ability to breathe. I quit smoking it for a while and when I started smoking it again, I noticed I was getting winded when doing cardio. Quit it again...for good.

if you don't run after you smoke pot it will, i know some track runners that smoke weed that i know could kick your ass in a 5k run.

Doesn't mean that if they didn't smoke they would be able to perform better.

Their reduced breathing is probably still better than my normal breathing, simply b/c of how good their lungs are to start with. I know you've seen the inside of a pipe that is used to smoke weed. You think your lungs wouldn't get the same deposit, and that this deposit wouldn't affect your breathing?

sure, your lungs get filled with goo, but it's anti-cancer goo! :D

A fear of cancer isn't what keeps me away from smoking weed. ;)

K, you have fun with your stabby stabby. I personally wouldn't want to get close enough to the zombies to stab them, but whatever you choose. I hope Matt is prepared to shoot you if you get bitten.

Ill have to talk to him about it and make sure though, you know you never really talk about important matters like this w/loved ones until it's too late. hahah

I smoke weed before workouts, and when I workout sober, I find I'm less motivated than if I were high. I might be able to perform better sober (doubt it though, I'm pretty maxed out with my routines, and I don't really notice a performance difference on or off the bud.)

I'd challenge you to monitor your workout as it is right now while smoking, then quit smoking bud for at least a month and see if you notice any improvement. I realized that would require you stop smoking weed for a month, but only then would you REALLY notice any difference. Habitual smokers will claim they work out the same on and off weed, yet never give their lungs enough time between smoking (hence the "habitual" part) for them to improve. I'm not only concerned with performance, I'm also concerned with how well I breathe while working out. I can get through my cardio while smoking, but I sure as hell don't feel as good and/or as out of breath if I'm not smoking. To each their own though, as long as you working out, :whogives: :D

That's a challenge I cannot accept. I puff more than a chimney.
