I just started a new job, working at bucks 4 books. It's located right next to the Pie, over by the U. 2nd south, 1330 east. Anyway, the store buys and sells college textbooks for better prices than what the campus bookstores will. If you have old books you want some money for, or when your current texts are no longer needed, this is the place to go to get some cash back. It's like "beat the bookstore", if you remember that place, with a couple differences. For one, they do not do "credit", only cash. So no one will get screwed over like they did with beat the bookstore. Its a completely different company too, so don't worry about that. It's actually a branch from Valore books. Also, if you have really old books that are no longer worth anything as far as trade in, due to no longer being in circulation, you can "recycle" the books. The store ships those books to Africa to be used in their schools, where they are a big help. The company also donates a percentage of their profits to local literacy campaigns and charities, which I think is cool

Not trying to advertise, I just thought this info would be helpful to this kind of crowd. If you are at all interested, shoot me a pm and I will send you my promo code. Use that at the store and you get an extra 5% on your buyback. I also get some $$$ if you use my code, so its win-win. The store opens up on Monday.

I still have some of my college books. I'll probably sell my english book that I had but keep the other ones. They were books I should have read the whole thing through because they were good but neglected because I'd rather eat popcorn and drink hahaha

I've always wanted to sell the books I purchased throughout college because they're always so damn ex[ensive but the further I get into school the more I realize that I desperately need as many resources as possible for research so..........

NO YOU CANT HAVE THEM I KILL YOU IF YOU TRY

I'll trade in my gen ed books, but I'm pretty attached to my reference books for work. I bitched a lot about the $200 I spent on my micro book, but that son of a bitch has gotten a lot of mileage.

But I'd rather give up some of the books I don't use any more to a good cause than have them sit on my shelves taking up space and gathering dust.

Just send me your books ISBN numbers, use the one that is printed on the inside. It may be the same as the one on the back, but if the book has a sticker that was put on it by the place you bought it, then it might be different and wont come up in our system. Send me ISBN's, I will look them up when I am at work (at work right now, work mon, wed, thur next week) and let you know what we can pay for them.

Sf Writer- $18.90 new

03213655119 - not found in system. Did you get the ISBN from inside the book or on the back? If there is a sticker over the ISBN on the back, and that is what you used, it probably is an ISBN for the place you got it, not the books registered ISBN. If you did send me the right ISBN, then it is probably a custom edition. For instance, if a book is made at the U and used only for a specific U class it is a custom edition and we do not buy those. If you have a different ISBN you can send me, I will look it up. If its a custom, you will only be able to sell it to the U bookstore or online to someone attending the U.

Guide to Managerial Communication... - $14 very good condition

Human side of organizations- not buy able. The book is either too far into its life cycle (usually 6 semesters is all they last, if that) or there is no demand for it.

So, with what you listed plus my 5% bonus the total would be $34.55, check that book that didn't show any results and make sure its the right ISBN and that it isn't a custom edition. You can try to sell the last book online, hopefully get something for it. I know this isn't a lot of money, you probably paid out the ass for those books, but its all they can do. Let me know if you do want to sell them, and if you have any other books I can look those up as well

Sorry, I missed this the first time. Brand new those go for $18.90 a piece as well.

So the total for 4 books would be $74.25

You can still bring in those books anytime, if I am not working just tell them you have a promo code, Broncos, and that should get you an extra 5%. Not a lot, but better than nothing.

The way our store operates is that we buy the books, and then we ship them all to a warehouse in Buffalo where the books are inventoried and then put up for sale online. We are a branch of another company called Valore books, which is basically an Ebay for textbooks. That is where you would want to go to buy a book, its usually 30-70% cheaper than a bookstore would be. The book you need is a very pricey one...

Business Law And the Legal Environment Standard Edition
by Susan S. Samuelson
ISBN-10: 0324303971
ISBN-13: 978-0324303971
Hardcover, 2006
Edition: 4
List Price: $166.95
Best Price: $156.02 (http://www.valorebooks.com/CallTarget.do?Target=Search.BookResults&product_id=4458823&Sort=1#Low) (Save 6%)

^ this is what I pulled up. There are usually much cheaper books on that site. The prices of this particular book that sellers have available range from $156.02 to $237.82, varying on condition etc.

I searched Amazon, and they have it for $167.16 so Valore is cheaper. I couldn't find the book on Ebay. If you do go through Valore, you might be able to use my promo code (Broncos) to get 5% off. I am not sure if that works for buying textbooks or not but its worth a try

Yup, give them your books and they will scan them into the computer and then tell you what they can pay for them. The amount may have changed since I quoted you, hopefully it is the same. Say you have a promo code, broncos, and you will get an extra 5%. Also, each book we have to make a judgment call on the condition of the book. So, a book that is "good" will get a little less money than a book that is "very good" or "like new". When I quoted you I put all of your books in as "very good". Even if you came to me and they were only "acceptable" I still would ring you up as "very good" or "like new" so you got the most possible. That is the only difference from me being there and someone else. If your books are in good shape though it shouldn't even matter.
