what is it about the opposite sex that stands out?
eyes? hair? intelligence? personality? smile? popularity? car? taste? manors? talents? money?
a great personality, intelligence, beautiful eyes, friendly smile and shorter height are characteristics i tend to pay attention to.
i usually don't post threads like this, but i'm bored and interested to see what other people think.....

Its usually taken on a case by case basis as far as just appearance, something generally sticks out. I am more attracted to the soul of a person, which may sound weird if its just attraction and not really knowing them, but I am a big believer in intuition, and some times you meet someone and you just get the feeling that there is something special there. My intuition is rarely wrong. Often times I can just look at someone and know if they are worth getting to know
As for general preferences, you have to love a great smile and a soft voice. Eyes that light up and are hard to look away from. They have to be intelligent, I cannot stand to be around someone who is not capable of deep thought. They have to have a great sense of humor, and enjoy laughing at life. I prefer long hair to short hair, though again there are cases where they look better with short hair. I don't like them to be TOO short or TOO tall, probably 5'2"-5'11" is the range.
Well I, personally, appreciate the similar sex......:eyebrows:
Someones eyes tell me alot. If I look into those portals and see outer space then I'm mesmerized.
A good sense of humor is crucial, someone who can laugh at themself when they hit thier head on a low beam. Ouch!
I like someone who's independant and can take care of themself......but is willing to let me take care of them.
Oh, and CONFIDENCE is the biggest turn on.:2cents:

What sticks out to me most would probably be good hygiene, like clean teeth, smells good, keeps up on shaving ect. And that usually will come along with confidence which is important.
I like it when they are taller than me. Good sense of humor, and is open minded. Blue or green eyes are nice too

^ Couldn't have explained it better myself. A lot of my relationships started because of that "feeling" and not really a physical attraction. Just automatically knowing you like the person and you just feel comfortable with them...
Physical traits I like would be eyes and smile. I really have to have someone that is funny and silly like me too! Cause I like to joke around A LOT and if I don't have someone I can joke around with and just be silly and random with... well then that isn't gonna work.

Someone who is silly, sarcastic and a bit crazy. I want to be able to always have a fun loving time with someone. Eyes and teeth are a big one for me. I also won't date a smoker or someone that does drugs no matter how much i like the person. And since i do hair, i always check out someones hair. Hot tattoos are always a plus to.

what stands out most for me, in the opposite sex? I notice a lot of guys eyes. A guy with pretty eyelashes always melts my heart.
as per my regular preference, same sex, I'll admit it, I enjoy the female figure....nice ass, boobs are always sweet, but generally I notice the eyes and the lips first off because I'm always looking someone in the face when I speak to them. If their eyes are looking back at me instead of down/around, then that's also attractive. You know they're listening. A good listener is the start to something beautiful as far as a relationship/friendship/aquaintance.
Mike, I'm glad I have no soul ;) Maybe that will keep you as far away from my penis as possible.

def a quality I try to avoid, unfortunately it's hard to tell right away sometimes. Some of them have been playing "fake" for their lives, and years of such practice make some of them good at what they do.

Sometimes. I used to have big self esteem issues, and I think my body language showed that. I no longer have those same issues, but I think my natural posture and body language is the same as it was. Most people think I have confidance issues because of how shy and quiet I am. It couldn't be further from the truth

intellegence is a big one and keeps getting bigger all the time. you can have a dumb conversation a few times but then u have to step up the vocab beyond 200words. other than that, confidence, not afraid to speak your mind, but also not just being rude and saying whatever the hell u feel like. must be hot or really pretty, must care about their appearance and be active.
there are way too many things, but a lack or huge lack of one thing can turn me off to you like a switch.

What I look for:
1) Female, and always has been female, none of this switching sides BS
2) If a fight were to break out, could this woman potentially kill me? I couldn't date a girl who could beat me up...
3) Does she appear to be crazy/mental? I admit that only a crazy person could really tolerate somebody like myself (crazy as well), but there's a difference in levels of craziness...
4) Does she already have children, cuz I don't like kids...the ONLY kids I'll like will be my own...
the whole physical appearance thing is a case by case basis...
Now what I look for: is she my wife? If not, I'm gonna get in trouble :D

I like to say it's what's on the inside that counts, but normally I don't care to take the time to find out what's on the inside... what makes a person who they are, unless I am physically attracted to them first.
Call me shallow, but I know all you fuckers are like that. :p

THe way I know if I really like a girl is how deeply I can look into her eyes. So eyes all the way! . . . and then hair :)
I'm willing to get to know ugly people...as friends...hahaha LMAO...hah. word. A couple of the people I've had major crushes on everyone kind of like answered me like "really...him.....?" but I was like wooooed by them.
