I've never taken it but it was a cure-all for a lot of kids in my neighborhood while growing up. From the wikipedia article. It says: "Some parents of children taking methylphenidate have claimed that the children become 'zombies' while on the drug.[13] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ritalin#_note-11) [14] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ritalin#_note-12) [15] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ritalin#_note-13)More specifically, it "is claimed by critics to cause withdrawal and depression in some children"."

So you have been experiencing anxiety and insomnia.. and they gave you something that has those side effects? From my own experience with anti-depression anti-anxiety meds, the side effects are not even worth it.

I never took meds until around this time last year. I was put on sleeping pills and klonopin. Now they are saying to take the ritalin during the day and take a klonopin at night. We'll see how it works out.
If anything I can stop taking it.

Well I havent ever taken ritalin. I have heard that it was to help with ADD or ADHD or something? and I thought that the older you are the less effective it is? And that when your older and you take it, its like meth. For some reason I was pretty sure that after a certain age they would switch you from Ritalin to Aderol? Am I totally confused?

I was too. I know tons of people on Adderal but never heard of an adult taking ritalin. Actually the doctor called it ritalin but the bottle says concerta.

Why did they put you on ritalin?? DO you have problems concentraiting or impulsiveness? I take adderall for my ADHD and a prozac. I used to take klonopin but it really never did anything for me besides make me drowsy and fucked up. Make you sure you force yourself to eat or eat inthe mornings before you take it, or it will make you feel really disoriented.
omg ur gonna feel like you're on the meths all dayyyy... and now you're going to get a 10000 pms asking "CAN YOU SELL ME RITALIN!?" lol
P.S. Buying drugs off of the board is FTL!

Just to clear the air, adderall is nothing compared to meth. Meth is the biggest stimulant out there. When people say that adderall "is like meth" they are full of shit.

Attention Deficit (http://amazon.com/gp/product/1589500296?ie=UTF8&tag=getmentalhelp-20&link_code=em1&camp=212341&creative=384061&creativeASIN=1589500296&adid=ebbd0607-40f7-4a63-b575-c94d5198202e) Disorder tends to focus predominately on children, leaving the ADD adult population largely under served. Most of the information presented about Attention Deficit Disorder focuses on children, parenting and school issues. All but one ADHD medication currently on the market achieved FDA approval for adult Attention Deficit Disorder (http://amazon.com/gp/product/1589792378?ie=UTF8&tag=getmentalhelp-20&link_code=em1&camp=212341&creative=384061&creativeASIN=1589792378&adid=50428eda-c1a3-485a-9f7f-69cb8d1d5103) treatment.
Attention Deficit Disorder simply was not in vogue when the adult of today was a child decades ago. While today many express concerns of over diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder in children, many also acknowledge the under diagnosing of adults with Attention Deficit (http://amazon.com/gp/product/0743264487?ie=UTF8&tag=getmentalhelp-20&link_code=em1&camp=212341&creative=384061&creativeASIN=0743264487&adid=69439970-4552-43cf-9f8a-63d0cd2f684c) Disorder.
Adults with ADD often realize that they have Attention Deficit Disorder when their own child is diagnosed. Looking through the list of symptoms, the parent often sees similarities in their own present or past behavior.
Yet, the hurdles of Attention Deficit are often the same, whether in a child or an adult. The ADD adult might have trouble with staying on task, staying organized and procrastinating, just as the Attention Deficit Disorder child does. The Attention Deficit Disorder adult might have trouble maintaining relationships and controlling their mood, just like an ADD or ADHD (http://amazon.com/gp/product/1591471559?ie=UTF8&tag=getmentalhelp-20&link_code=em1&camp=212341&creative=384061&creativeASIN=1591471559&adid=c77537b4-a5aa-4713-9db1-16c8a72117a2) child. The main difference between the ADD adult and the ADD child is that the adult with Attention Deficit typically has more sophisticated coping mechanisms.
For the better part, the Attention Deficit Disorder ADD ADHD (http://amazon.com/gp/product/0970246900?ie=UTF8&tag=getmentalhelp-20&link_code=em1&camp=212341&creative=384061&creativeASIN=0970246900&adid=0e135e46-c4a9-413b-b36e-8fbc3e14dff0) symptom test outlined for children is about the same for the adult, with the word "work" substituted for "school." You can also look at the Attention Deficit Disorder test for children and ask yourself if, as a child, you had such symptoms or currently have such Attention Deficit Disorder symptoms (http://amazon.com/gp/product/1889140112?ie=UTF8&tag=getmentalhelp-20&link_code=em1&camp=212341&creative=384061&creativeASIN=1889140112&adid=36bf12f5-11cd-4dc6-bccf-deddbcdefc16).
Below is an adult symptom test with symptoms unique to the Attention Deficit Disorder adult. This self test is not a diagnostic test but a source of information for the adult trying to determine if Attention Deficit Disorder might be present in their life.
Adult ADD Symptom Test:
If you experience more than 10 points on this adult ADD (http://amazon.com/gp/product/0891099069?ie=UTF8&tag=getmentalhelp-20&link_code=em1&camp=212341&creative=384061&creativeASIN=0891099069&adid=d57c5673-bd58-405c-91bc-a8d5e81fadce) self symptom test, Attention Deficit Disorder is likely present.

Today is my second day back on adderall and it has been an errie experience. I have been seeing things that arn't really there and I have been extremley paranoid. I am delusion, sometimes i feel like im in a dream. I was prescribed adderall 30mg xr(time release) once a day. I then quit taking my adderall even though I showed great improvemets on the medication. After six months of being off the medication, i decided that i needed to start taking it agian for school. Instead of being put back on the XR, my doctor recommended two 20mg adderall quick release tablets daily, which i have been taking. I am a complete wreck, im not going to take these tablets anymore. This has given me second thoughts on adderall altogether. I have decided im going to cope with my "disorder" without medication. So today, i say goodbye to all you shadow people, for you will haunt me no more.
If u people couldn't tell the sarcasim in my posts then u now know.

If you take a couple of them it feels just like sprack... Anything that makes you feel like you are tweaking is bad imo.
