we all have them. Whether we remember them or not, is of course it's own story.
I happen to remember the significant ones I have. I carry them with me for ages. i do the amount of NOW research that I can. Open my eyes to the awareness of why my subconcious would want me to have such information.
Sometimes it has taken me up to 6 years to come up with feeling like I'm even beginning to finalize the value and importance of my dreams.
I just think that dreaming is so interesting in telling us about ourselves, our paths, our future and what not. Does anyone else enjoy taking the time to pay this close attention to our subconcious? And if so, what how long, and what measures does it take for YOU to find the answers?
Something that has never happened to me yet, is having a dream answer questions. But i have certainly heard of this happening as well.
Dreams have comforted me, in my life, in my choices, in my shadows, and in my lights. But with that, always comes a whole new ball game of mysteries.
Anyway, discuss as you will :)

Thanks to my cracked out sleeping schedule I don't think I ever really dream anymore. When I do, I rarely remember anything but a few fleeting memories:(

I've had a few dreams throughout my life that were so vivid and/or disturbing that I still remember them to this day...no idea what they mean...many cuz there's no fucking way I'm telling another person what my mind made up while I was sleeping...I will, however, share this one:
A war was starting, men dressed completely in black were coming from the sky and the streets, raiding my neighborhood..fully armed, breaking into houses, and ripping people out into the streets...cut to a stadium packed full of people, they're all cheering louder than I've ever heard...zoom in to the center of the stadium and you see a pig being bludgeoned to death...there was more, but those are the only parts I remember...anybody care to take that one? haha

I had a really disconcerting dream Sunday morning, but it wasn't until pretty much right now that I think I figured it out. Crazy, I just blew my own mind.

I didn't think too much about it until now. And if it wasn't for a conversation (which at the time I thought was completely unrelated) I had with Newmie last night I probably wouldn't have figured it out at all.

Lucid dreaming can be a really rewarding experience. If you haven't pursued it, you ought to. Most people experience dreams as a really passive thing, like you're watching a movie and you can't turn away until it's over or you are woken up. Often these style of dreams are quickly forgotten shortly after they're over. These are a product of our subconscious, which is something in itself that still no one really understands. Although there's been great progress made with our abilities to measure brainwaves and try to interpret them, psychology is still a science of assumptions and educated guesses. So as we fall asleep and our conscious mind shuts down, our subconscious can begin bombarding us with images and thoughts of... who knows what?
There are kinds of books written and websites created to try and help interpret what dreams mean, but largely since we don't even know why these thoughts come to us in the first place, how can we really explain if they are supposed to mean anything to us. Some of the more common dreams are assumed to mean certain things simply because so many people have had them. For example, dreams of falling, or having a dream about your teeth falling out or anything like that is said to be a reflection of your inner insecurities about your body and physical appearance. Since dreams can be so esoteric, it gets a lot more fun if you can realize what's happening while it's going on.
Lucid dreaming is generally defined as a dream that is highly detailed and seemingly very realistic. The goal of lucid dreaming though is to make a connection between your conscious and unconscious mind. While you are in the dream, you consciously make the realization that you are asleep, and in spite of the realism you are seeing, you know that it is not real. Depending on your level of mastery, all sorts of fun things can happen. You can completely change people, scenery, whatever you want. If you're really good enough, you fully get to control one of the characters in your dream (which is often yourself, but not always), and even though all other characters are also you (this is your dream after all), they are not the you that you are used to. Take the opportunity to ask your subconscious mind a question, then you're really in for a mind fuck. I've had dreams where I was able to carry out entire conversations in this way, and found them to be very revealing. I cherish them greatly, and won't ever forget them.

My dreams are always really crazy. I seem to always wake up around 3 or 4am and after that I have totally realistic dreams. Where I wake up like holy shit!
Sometimes I try to analyize them.. but there are always so many different things that they could lead to. Sometimes I will have a dream and within a week something in real life will happen that has happened in the dream. Which is crazy.
I love dreaming though - I actually found that after taking the anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med Effexor - I have been having dreams that are more intense than usually. Really disturbing and realisitic at the same time. Its pretty crazy. I dont mind too much though.
(Sorry if I sound handicap.. kinda drunk and playing on Utahraves - always fun :))
