So i have to get some shit off my chest my girlfriend has lived with me for about a year now when she first moved in the deal was she had to have a job and she did. Now a year later im doin a little better for us and she attends collage (not yet school hasn't started) so i told her she doesn't have to work she can go full time but that means her job is to keep the house straightend up while i work so we have been fighting constintly because i go to work all day (as a roofer) and she sleeps all day and does nothing i feel im bein taken advantage of cause of all i do for her i was going to pay her tuition she has a nice car to drive and i always take her out on dates so we had a big fight this week (yes the whole week) and it ended today with me telling her to pack some stuff and i took her back to her parents house(wich she had been threatining to do anyways cause im so unfair) so if im being an asshole or unfair please somebody tell me cause i like to think im a good guy but this is fucking me up

I hate Freeloaders and people that use other people. I am being used right now. My friends and roomate's girlfriend, get this, just barely got a job for the first time since Oct. she has moved from UT to CA and back 2 or 3 times now, and the whole while freeloading off of others. I could go off about this situation cuz it pisses me off, now she moved in to my house, lived there for 2 weeks paying no rent, and now they moved in to one room and they think they can pay the rent I'd charge for just one person to live in the room, I think its B.S. there's a ton more but.........argh.

Anyway, you are for sure in the right and just like my friend needs to get rid of his lame freeloading girlfriend, I think you sending her back to her parents is the right thing too.

Dude, if she cant even keep the house clean. There is no point for her to live there.

Now if she want'd to be a good little house keeper while sleeping all day.
Then there would be no problem.

See'n that she's a super lazy bum & doesnt do dish's, laundry or vacuum.
She must go. period.

If she can't perform her god-given womanly duties (cleaning the house), then she's defective and you need to get a refund...

Carl, dude... that's wild!

I would haven't thought of her to be like that. You did the right thing though...
Glad to hear you're doing good though (financially) :)

wait for girl to be out of college and have a life of her own...or find a girl that doesn't need/desire school. That would be my advice. I think that girls that are young enough to go to school, are going to change their minds a million times anyway. And not just with school...now if they are my age (27-28ish) and just deciding to go better their knowledge with skool then right on...but if they are 18-19...too young dont bother.

You have plenty of life.

Let her live, You'll be happier in the end.

If you can support her....you'll do fine on your own

that's just my thinking tho, you can certainly tell me to fuck off

Damn man, I went through a pretty similar situation a couple years back! It was really shitty how such a great relationship ended on such shitty terms due to circumstances like that!

Luckily my girlfriend at the time wasn't lazy, she still worked and went to school... she just didn't make very good money so meanwhile I worked 2 jobs to cover rent and all that shit.

This is why moving in with someone will make or break the relationship.

Wish I had something to say other than "That sucks, dude." but I really don't. It happens all too often unfortunately! Best of luck with it all!

I'm sure he is less concerned about the messy house than he is about being taken advantage of.

What if he has OCD and can't stand to be in a messy house?

You ABSOLUTELY DID THE RIGHT THING!! Don't let ANYBODY tell you otherwise! I had a free fucking loader for 5 YEARS and I was stupid enough to let it continue, and that's my fault, but anyway. Yeah I kicked him out almost a year ago, and life has been so much better.
Believe me, do not feel any regret. It's her fault for not doing what she needs to do.

my situation too. my baby's dad and his bf just split. she doesn't see him very much anyway, but she still got kinda attached to her dad's significant other.
does your 3 year old live with you? that would be different, cuz then they would interact all the time. but in my case my daughter doesn't see him as often. So I could see how that would be hard...

i didnt mean any offense, I particularly like your writing skills

if you can work things out then great, but if not, don't keep her around just for your kid's sake. because all the kid is gonna see is you two fighting and arguing. it will be hard at first but better in the long run

My :2cents: is you did the right thing. I would probably require at least a part time job plus cleaning the house if school isn't is session.

I would love that role rather than working and commuting and never getting time to clean.

Shit Ill stay home and clean the house all day if you pay for my schooling! :p

I think she is young and dumb and you did the right thing. She obviously has no idea what it is like to work 45+ hours a week and go to school... Not to mention then finding time to cook dinner and clean the house in between sleeping and doing homework.

Spoiled brat is what I think!
