...by saying that they're trying to become a full on business corporation with salary employees and posting on the most prominent rave message board in hopes of hiring employees from their customer base in hopes of maybe being able to put on better quality productions?

bad grammar, making bulleted lists out of something that should be a paragraph, and immediately rejecting people for not being able to make a scheduled appointment.. need i say more?
as soon as you turn this whole party thing into a business, and you're an asshole about it..or you are sloppy in the way you promote your idea of creating a business.. decent people will not support you.. no matter what claims and/or headliners you bring out.
honestly, i wouldn't mind being part of something like this.. but in my experience of Dreamland Productions, you yourselves haven't presented the professionalism you are asking from your would-be so-called employees..

Yeah, because none of the existing production crews ever make money of their events.
I completely disagree with "corporate raving" but it's been around for quite a while now. These guys aren't doing anything new.

What is wrong with corporate raving? It is acceptable in this day and age... Why not make money off of what you love?

Because it changes the nature of things.

I never said there was anything wrong with a promoter makeing money off a Rave infact im all for it! why not, the DJ's make money off of what they do. why not the promoters to!? there is nothing wrong with doing something you love and makeing a living off of it! but seriously do you have to turn it in to a corporation? when that happens in my opinion then your obviously just in it for the money. and the actual Event, Vibe and Music become secondary! and then your event just becomes a another party a concert and is no longer really a rave.

does your company have room for a street pharmacist/sales rep?

Ok now that's funny. Its sad this happens, this was the downfall of the Rave scene in Boise ID. I was in Korea at the time, I left a thriving scene in fall 2000 and got back fall 2002 to a dead scene. Supposedly this is what went down. Money became the main motive for the biggest promoter in town(the equivilent to V2 here) when I left it was 500-1000 heads at $15 a party every single weekend and the parties all went till 7:00 AM and were at different locations every week. I guess it got to a point of 1,500-2,000 at $30 a party and $3 bottled water. Also the promoter had these said, street sales reps and made bank there too. This all got investigated and busted and 4 promoters all went to prison for 4 years, other promoters moved to Seattle and SF and the scene entirely died and has still never come back nearly to what it was. In spite of great DJs producers and promoters, the support has never returned after this. Now they are stuck at a couple small bars, going till sometimes 4 AM, and get a couple hundred people if that. I went to some way tight parties there that had rad decor and music but just like 70 people, it was sad. POTD came and they got maybe 300. Its been 2 years since I have been to a Boise Rave but I am pretty sure it hasn't gotten that much better.

It's all business no matter how you look at it. You have to be a business to make it work. How you form your business is up to you. You CAN just throw parties and get away with it, but to be legit you must be a business. You can be a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, llc corp.
Being a corporation puts less risk on those involved, including those contracted. However, most people are usually a sole proprietorship without even knowing it.
Like said before, this is nothing new. If it were me, I wouldn't be looking for people to tell me what they have to offer. I'd already know what I needed, because it's my business and I'd have a business plan with all the details drawn out.
hrm... I've talked about coming back into the business. We'll see what happens. :P
