Legislating human behavior is very expensive and not recommended in a down economy. Obama's new fuel efficiency mandates will cost every new car buyer $600 per car (on top of $700 worth of mandates already in place). Anybody wanna bet before the end of his first term we see a host of new taxes on gasoline to convince us to buy these more expensive automobiles?

$600 more on a car really isn't all that much considering most new cars already cost more than $17,000. And if you buy smart and use tax credits and such you can get that money back easy.

Sure, I'll take that bet. Let's regroup in 3 years and see how many "new taxes on gasoline" are indeed created. Lookin forward to it

there's probaly going to be a new tax for just taking out the nozzle and putting it back.
